camp

Students,

Now that the camping trip is behind us I am really interested in your feedback. Please write a paragraph explaining to me your favorite part of the trip.  Was it the classes? Was it the dance? Was it being away from home for a few days with your friends? Was it the chance to meet new friends?  You are to write a paragraph of no less than 100 words describing the answer to the above question; “What was your favorite part of the trip?” Remember this is not a “text message;” proper grammar rules and spelling must be applied to your writing.  Hint: type your response into a word document, do a spelling and grammar check, and copy and paste the paragraph into the blog.  Feel free to respond to other student’s blog after you have written yours. The student who, in my opinion, has written the most eloquent blog and response will receive 1 (one) extra credit point on next week’s test.  Post your first name and last initial and your homeroom in the “comment” section of the blog to earn credit.

  4. I loved the camping trip. It was tons of fun! My favorite part was probably the social and just hanging out with my friends. At the social I had lots of fun. My friends Katie, Kristen, Tanvi, Alisha, Lizzy, Morgan, Carly, and I hung out with Mr. Hickox, my former homeroom teacher. We all danced all night. We also had a bunch of soda and popcorn. My friends Katie, Kristen, Tanvi, Alisha, Lizzy, Carly, Morgan, Leah, Sophie, and I hung out a lot. We talked a bunch and always ate meals together. Lizzy, Sophie, and I were even in the same cabin! Some parts of the trip I didn’t like so much like wildlife and lake activities. I didn’t like wildlife because in my opinion it was very boring. I didn’t like lake activities because the water was too cold to do anything but canoeing and kayaking which I don’t really like. Overall the trip was really fun!

  5. My favorite part of camp was just spending some time away from my parents and being with my friends. That was fun because I got a lot of freedom. The social was also a lot of fun because, again, I got to spend a lot of time away from my teachers and be with my friends. My favorite class was lake ecology because I got to see a lot of different organisms that I have NEVER seen before. I also liked lake ecology because I learned a lot about the organisms. I also enjoyed Mrs. Fields on 11Alive news. She taught me a lot in lake ecology. Overall, the field trip was the best one I've been on so far.

  6. My favorite part of camp is when we did the lake ecology class. Cullet, my partner, and I found lots of macro organisms. It turned out we mostly found mayfly larva. Some kids caught crawfish and salamanders but not us. How we caught the macro organisms was we would pick up a rock and look on the bottom of it and if saw something moving on it se would swish it into are bucket which had water in it. The water was cold and the sand got into my crocs. I had lots of fun at camp but this was my favorite activity.

  7. Of all the activities on the trip I found that I liked three of the activities the best. Of all the activities at camp I liked the High Ropes, the Social, and the History Class. I liked the High Ropes the best. The High Ropes were my favorite activity because I love climbing, and when I got to the top of the climbing wall I was really high up and I love heights. My second favorite activity was the Social. I liked the Social because I got to be with all of my friends and dance to some fun music. I also enjoyed the history class with Mr. Key. I enjoyed it because Mr. Key is a great storyteller, I got to "gamble", and shoot blowguns. I also liked meeting some of the kids from Woodward North. I met a girl named Phoebe and she was really nice. I think the trip to Camp Tumbling Waters was really fun and I wish I could go there again with all of my friends. ☺❤

I did the blob I wish I could do it again! Im happy I ended up with one of my friends in me activity group her name is Priya she is really nice. The water quality class was fun I worked with my friend and we got so many organisms! When we did line dancing I couldn't stop laughing it was so funny and fun!!!!! I liked playing the games when we had the history class. I liked the high ropes to and I loved the swing it was so fun!!! When I petted the snake i was freaked out but excited at the same time! The good thing is i brought my camera so now I remember every thing but i miss it there because we had so much fun with our friends and in the cabin some people stayed up late but Trust Me I didn't anyway i was tired so i didn't want to.I hope we will go on fun field trips later and have a good time! The social was really fun! You saw me I was standing on people's hands and waving!Ok there food isn't horrible but wasn't great it was okay food but I really hope I get to go there again it was fun! Loved the classes with my friends!

  9. Camp was awesome! I loved it so much I went crazy when I came back home. I met a friend Kyle and Omar. I had some good times at camp. It was fun playing basketball during freetime. We would play king of the court, knockout, and pickup games. Kyle is an awesome basketball player. It was fun playing one-on-one with him. Lake Activities was fun! You could p-lay in the lake so much. Awell I guess that’s why its called lake activities. The Ropes Course was awesome, too. I went on the swing, Which was awesome. Camp was the best field trip ever.

  10. Tumbling Waters was a fun filled adventure for me. Every part of the trip I liked for different reasons. The Social was fun, and I learned from it too. I basically didn’t know any of the songs besides “Beat It” and the YMCA, which everyone knows.
I also liked the classes. It was so cool to shoot an authentic blowgun like the Native Americans did. On a scale of one to five, I would definitely give Mr. Key a five on his class. His class made the top three on my list. Tallulah Gorge also made the top three on my list. It was breathtaking to look around at the scenery of the gorge. Maybe I can go there with my family for a visit. I really enjoyed meeting new friends too. I met two girls at camp and their names were Alana and Collette. Both of them were super nice and I hope that they are in my homeroom for 7th grade. Over all, Tumbling Waters was a wonderful camp and hopefully someday I can go there again.

  11. I think the whole trip was amazing! I really liked the activities. I liked Line Dancing because of the music and dances. One of my favorite classes was Lake Ecology. It was fun trying to find organisms in the stream. Another one of my favorite classes was High Ropes. I love heights so the swing was really fun! I also enjoyed the Social. My friends and I really liked the music and watching other people dance. I liked hanging out in my friends’ cabins. It was fun being in cabins with people I knew and people I didn’t. At night we played games and slept until 1 in the morning! Overall I thought the trip was amazing!

  12. I loved Camp Tumbling waters because I could have a few days away from home. Also we did not have to do any homework. My favorite parts were the Lake Activities and High Ropes because in Lake Activities I got blobbed and went really high in the air. On the High Ropes the swing was awesome because it felt like I was flying. The class I did not like much was Wildlife because most of the time all we did was just listen to the teacher talking. I spent most of my time talking with my friends and enjoying the classes. I also met many new people. This was the best camping trip so far!

  13. I mostly liked the classes. My favorite activity was probably the line dancing because I like dancing, it was an awesome experience, and we did the line dances at the social. It was probably the first time I've eaten kosher food and the food was a lot better than what we have at school. An other activity I liked was nature art because you got to see a beautiful waterfall. The social was a lot better and depressing than I thought, tons of people cried for some ridiculous reason. One of my favorite things was natural history when we got to play native american games and shoot blow guns. In a way lake activities was one of the best but in a way it wasn't, it was really fun but, people kept asking me to blob them because i am a little bit over size which was kind of insulting to me. :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

  14. It was really hard to decide but my favorite thing about camp Tumbling Waters was Water Activities. I loved the going on the blob when we went to Water Activities, Mr. Hickocks made you go so high! I also liked canoeing and kayaking. Anna and I went kayaking and started running in to people. Anna, Olivia, and I also went canoeing and Anna stood up and we tipped over, it was hilarious! At camp I also liked hanging out with my friends, especially when we went swimming and played WA main vs. WA North. It was such a fun trip and I will keep the memories with me for a long time.

  16. The camping trip was awesome. It was so fun to get away from school and just go and have fun. My favorite part of the trip was the classes. My favorite was when we went to the lake because you had a lot of different choices. It was also the first time I ever blogged before. It was so funny how the lifeguards would jump on it and we just flew 30 feet in the air. The science class was fun too because we got to find and handle aquatic and land animals. My group, Anna and Joesph found a lot of cool stuff I've never even thought existed before. When we did the line dance at first it was confusing, but after he went through all the steps I was rocking the moves. I was really crazy about the music they played, it made me just want to dance all day long. History class was cool to!! It was kind of funny because all the other girls like Maddie and Laine were scared of the snakes, but sense i love snakes I was so eager to pet and hold them. The first time I saw the swing I said to my friend, "I am not getting on that thing!" I ended up going on it and it was so fun! All I could ask Mrs. Broyles is if we were going to get to do it again. Alot of the teachers said that the food there was better than Woodward food and I would agree to that. I couldn't say the food was 5 stared but it was certainly not horrible. It was funny when all the desserts came out and everyone ran to the table and when I got there all I saw was an empty plate. The cabins were better than what I pictured and I didn't have to put bug spray on them! By the time we had to go to bed I was OUT!! I miss seeing the teachers scream on the swing and wish to go there again!!!

  17. Out of all the things in camp, I thought being away for a few days was the best part. I sort of thought it as a big sleep over. We had the best cabin. We told jokes, played games, and had fun in our cabin. The social was also pretty fun. It got a little boring after a while. Then the lake activities were also a lot of fun. I got blobed by Mr. Moran and I got some air!! Every thing about the camp was pretty awesome. Going to camp to get away from your parents was a lot of fun. No more bed time limits [like going to sleep at 8:30 or something like that] , and all the stuff I did at camp my parents would most likely disagree. So camp was the best because of not seeing my parents.

  18. I loved everything at Camp but if I had to pick it will be the lake activties the water was cold but I love to swim. I loved being with my friends but being mostly away from my parents. Shooting the blow guns were fun to. The high ropes were awesome and the lake ecology was awesome to but when i fell into the lake it wasnt fun any smore. The food was ok but it was cool. Then line dacing was awesome to but I thought I lost a small toe. Then my most favorite was the social it was amzing and I loved everyone there and the people I was there with. I love Camp Tumbling Waters:) :) :) :) :)

  19. My favorite part of camp was everything because this was the first trip that I have had to dress and go to a party. I had a great time when I got to blob people, canoe, and kayak. I also enjoyed the natural history. The best part I experienced was the lake ecology because Hunter and I found a frog, 3 salamanders, a crawfish and a crane fly larva. I enjoyed looking at everybody else’s catch.
Wednesday night, I had of fun with Hunter roasting S’mores, playing basketball and volleyball. At night, my cabin hardly slept because we were having so much fun telling jokes. In the morning, we had a hard time getting up, but when we finally get wake up, we had a fantastic day.

  20. My favorite part of the trip was the blob. Whenever I blob someone they would go at least 5 feet in the air. The key to blobbing people is to land on your bottom. I also enjoy watching people being blobbed on the trampoline. The life guards made me go up 6 feet in the air and landed on a back flop. The blob was green, blue, and yellow. The blob was the best thing at the camp
Another favorite of mine is high ropes. The rope course is really hard. But, I like stuff challenging. You probably go 75 feet in the air. I also like it because it wasn’t just rock. There are varieties of obstacles. The ropes course was the second best thing at the camp.
The last of my favorites is volleyball. It mostly was north vs. main. I was on north because I was there longer than main. I was happy to be on my old friends’ team even though main called me a traitor. When we got there I wasn’t very good. But, I learned and at the end of the week I was good. I thought the camp was a great first sleep away camp.

  21. I had a great time at my school science camping trip. I met lots of new people from Woodward North, and got to know some of the kids I already knew better! I got climb the ropes course, I had a chance to kayak and canoe. I loved watching the movie with all my friends. My favorite part about camp was jumping on the blob, I thought I saw my life flash before my eyes when Mr. Hickocks jumped on the other end of the blob and sent me flying into the freezing lake! The social was fun, when we all line danced to the same music and the food was delicious. I hope I can return one day soon!

  22. My favorite part of camp tumbling waters was the social. I had A LOT of fun at the social. I danced with my friends and drank soda and ate popcorn. I enjoyed the dance contest and a lot of the dancers were really good. I wanted to do the dance contest but I didn’t have a partner to dance with. A lot of my friends were in the final round. My least favorite part of camp tumbling waters was the food. I thought the food was okay. And I also had fun hanging out with my friends and some of my friends were in my cabin. I liked the classes a lot .I had a lot of fun at camp tumbling waters and I wish I could do it again.

  23. I LOVED THE TRIP!!!!! It was so much fun!!! I think the best part of the trip was the social!! I liked the social because I got to just hangout with my friends. I mostly hung out with Megan G., Cate D., Anna C., Reilly B., Sam H., Brian S., and Jaila G. I drank almost 10 cup full's of coke and mountain dew!! My friends and I started this circle thing where everybody gets in a big circle and runs to the middle at the same time and you lift your arms high and then you go back down. We also made a big circle and kind of one at a time you would run to the middle, still holding hands, and the other people would pull you back. We almost all entered the dance off and I was partners with Jaila. Megan and Cate got the farthest in the dance off than any of the people I was hanging out with. Over all I think the social was the best part of the trip!!:) :) :) :) :)

  24. The camping trip was awesome. My favorite parts were the social and the ropes course. The social was fun but tiring because we were jumping up and down a lot. The ropes course was fun because you had to put your trust into the guy that holds you up.
The swing was also fun, especially the moment they let you go. Overall the trip was really fun I had an awesome time.

  25. Camp Tumbling Waters was definitely the most fun field trip I have ever gone on. My favorite part of the trip was Lake Activities. The blob was spectacular. When I got blobbed by Mr. Hickox, I felt like I was being shot out of a cannon. Also, I liked High Ropes a lot. I love rock climbing because it is the opposite of sitting in a chair in class all day. I’d much rather be moving around. Lake Ecology was fun and educational. Mrs. Fields showed us different organisms and how to search for them. Overall, my trip was one to be remembered. I wish that I could go back in time and do it all again.

  26. I had lots of fun at camp. At camp, we had a daily routine. We woke up early, took a shower or put clean clothes on and went to breakfast. After breakfast, we went to classes. Surprisingly, the classes were actually fun. My favorite class was the high ropes. We didn’t really learn anything in that class but it was really fun. My favorite thing about the high ropes class was the swing. On the swing, everybody pulls you up and when you let go of the rope, you go really fast. All the other classes were fun too, but that one stood out. After two classes in the morning, we had lunch. Then we went to more classes. The other classes were Lake Ecology, Lake Activities, Natural History, Nature Art, Line Dancing, and the Reptile class. On the second night, we had the social. There was a dance competition, good music, and Coke. I had a really great time.

  27. My favorite part of the trip was the classes. My favorite was water ecology. In water ecology when I was looking for organisms it was fun, finding them, viewing them, and identifying them was fun. All of it was fun! And after the class it helped me make a new friend. High ropes, lake activities, history, wildlife, nature art, all were fun! Even though some were boring at some points, they were all still fun. In high ropes I got to be competitive and race on the courses. In history I learned about Native Americans and got to shoot blow darts! In nature art we watched a video on art, then went to a waterfall and I got to make a totem rock. In wildlife I got to see cool snakes and hold them and see strange salamanders. I had a lot of fun!

  28. I loved camp it was so fun!!!! My favorite part about camp was probably all the activities. I liked the activities probably because there was lots of fun stuff to do and I just got to hang out with my friends. If I had to choose one favorite activity it would have to be lake activities. I liked lake activities because there was a blob, a water trampoline, the boats, and I liked the water. Then there was the social. I liked the social because there was lots of dancing, good music and popcorn, and I just got to hang out with my friends and have fun.

  29. I had a great time at camp. I enjoyed going away from my family and spending time with my friends. I loved the line dancing class. We learned six dances. I enjoyed the social also! I met new people from Woodward north. I was in the same cabin as Hallie, Izzy and Jayla. There was other people but I didn't know them. I didn't like the water activities because I hurt my back on the blob. Tullah Gorge was very pretty. I liked the ride home because we got to see a slide show of our time there. I was really ready to get home to get a good night sleep!!!

  30. Tumbling Waters

My favorite thing I did at Tumbling Waters was the classes we took. That was my favorite thing out of everything because I was with some of my friends and I had fun in the classes. The classes that we took were lake activities, water ecology, wild life, ropes, history, line dancing, and nature art. My favorite things I did in lake activities were the blob, canoes, and the water trampoline. One cool thing we caught in water ecology was a baby salamander. An interesting thing I saw in wild life was the skin of a snake. My favorite height course in ropes was the swing. The blow gun was an interesting weapon I learned about in history. I did not have a favorite line dance because I enjoyed learning them all. Going down to the waterfall in nature art and putting together a piece of art with our surroundings was a fun thing to do. I had a lot of fun at Tumbling Waters like playing volleyball and swimming but the classes for me were exciting to me out of all the things we did. :) :) :) :) ;)

  31. I really liked camp. It was fun to have three days of no school and no homework, just hanging out with your friends for three days. I enjoyed the activities. My favorite activity was either ropes course or water activities. I liked ropes course because I was high in the air and I got to climb. I liked water activities because there was a blob and kayaks. My favorite part was the social. I liked the social because I could hang out with my friends for a couple hours and dance. The trip was very fu and I met a lot of new people. It was also cool that we were on the news. I had a lot of fun on the trip and wish we could do them more often.

I loved camp, but my favorite part was definitely High Ropes Course. I loved being so high on the swing and tower. I also enjoyed seeing most of camp from the top. Another activity I enjoyed was Water Ecology. I enjoyed Water Ecology mainly because we got to find cool bugs and animals. I also liked Natural History because we got to use blowguns. Overall I had an awesome experience at camp.

  33. I had many favorite parts on the trip. The social, lake activities, and high ropes were amazing, but if I chose one, it would be the social. The reason is because the social had a lot of drinks, popcorn, a dance competition, and the music. I really liked it. The whole camp was amazing though because we had many fun activities excluding lunch. I also met new people from Woodward North that I will see next year. I already have made some friends from Woodward North. There is this one guy named Travis from Woodward North that was very nice and was very kind and I am sure we will be best friends next year. During the night, around 11:30 we pranked the other cabin which was really fun and they got us back which was revenge. So that was really fun. Another thing we did was get in a stream and look for macro-invertebrates and crawfish! My partner, Arjun, and I caught a May Fly larva which to me was very cool. I also got to hold snakes in natural history! high ropes was also very fun! In high ropes, we got to either get on the rock climbing wall, do the swing, or the wood obstacle course! I did the wood obstacle which was fun to do. I did the hardest level and finished it in two minutes! The only thing I did not like about the camp was the food. By the way, I am not a gourmet chef but I am very picky. I thought the food was bad. It doesn’t matter though because food is food. but otherwise than that, camp was great!. to me the whole trip was 9.576354231 out of 10 stars! Overall I had a great time at camp!

  34. Camp was so fun. The best part about camp was water activities, the cabins, the social, and the free period between the classes. Water activities was so fun because there was a blob when u get to the lake u think the water is cool kinda warm and u just want to jump in. So I rush to get on a life jacket so i could be the first on the blob. So when its my turn I said my lines for the person could jump on. so when jumps.... SPLASH im in the water the first thing I notice is the water is freezeing. so i rush back onto the bridge type thing to get warm. So I get ready to get back in the lake. When i hear my friends telling me to come to the trampoline. S i jump in hurring tring not to turn into a popcycle and jump on the trampoline. so thats all i did really did. The next thing was the cabins were we got to socialize till we fall asleep and basicly get to know new people and have cabin wars!!!! Ahh the social oone of the most fun things about Tumbling Water. So when me and my friends got dress and went down to the covered gym and talked and talked then the dj said we can get on the dance floor and dance and dance, talked, got a few stacks. and then a slow song had played every body was in a rush to find a dance. After that they played fast songs to the end. Last thing I have to say is that the free periods between classes was epic when I walked to the covered gym all i saw was woodward north playing woodward main in basketball. all u saw was competion everywere I looked and that was the fun things I did at tumbling waters.

  35. Camp Tumbling Waters is really a wonderful sixth grade experience. Although there were many things that I liked about Camp Tumbling Waters, I know that my favorite part about camp was the Social. The Social was a time where you just let go and have fun. I met new faces and socialized with the old ones there. My friends Alisha, Lizzy, Sawyer, Katie, Kristen, Tashi, Srinidhi and Carlie and I all hung out together. We crowded around my favorite teacher, Mr.Hickox, who was my homeroom teacher last year. We taught him how to dance and we took lots of pictures with him on my camera. Although the Social was in my opinion the best activity, I did enjoy the other activities. Camp Tumbling Waters is the best thing to look forward to in sixth grade.

  36. Camp was really fun!!! I had a great time with my friends there. The classes were really fun too (not like regular boring classes) I had fun at line dancing it was so fun learning the dances and laughing when you get confused. The lake activities were awesome because I got to go on the blob and went really high in the air!!! It was cool but kinda creepy looking for organisms in the water at lake ecology. We accidentally dropped our bucket ☹ but it was okay. I would have done the swing at the high ropes but I never got to because the line was so long. Well I guess watching other people scream is fun too! The Social was so awesome! My friends and I went really crazy there. We tried the dance competition but we kinda failed at it. It was the best field I’ve ever been on!!!!! It was amazing and I wish I could go again!!!!

  37. I really enjoyed going to camp! It gave me a chance to meet new people. The activities were really interesting. My favorite activity was canoeing. I was really scared to hold the snakes but I did it anyways. I really liked the social! It was really fun! I liked it when we had the dance competition! I loved the songs they played! Whip My Hair was my favorite! I liked the pool but it was so cold! It was like an ice cube! I loved when we all watched the movie! It was very funny! In our cabins we would stay up and talk all night! Breakfast was my favorite meal of the day. I liked the eggs there. My friends and I had a blast! I had so much fun and I wish we could stay there longer!!!!!!

  38. I had so much fun at camp Tumbling Waters. I had two favorite things about camp. One of my favorite classes was the Lake Activities. I had so much fun being blobbed by people at the lake but, the lake was a little chilly. My second favorite part of camp was the social. I had so much fun with my friends at the social. All of my friends were crazy and had a good time. I really enjoyed the dancing competition. My friends and I all danced the whole time. I was very exhausted coming back but, I still had a good time. I would like to visit camp Tumbling Waters again on another field trip.

  39. At first I was exited about camp, and I was right to be exited! It was so awesome to be at camp even with the weather as hot as the surface of the sun, and as cold as Pluto. The social was a bit cold, but at least water ecology was fun. Lake activities class was fun. First I kayaked with a partner, but when I was by myself, I went fast enough to fly out of the lake. Later I got into a mini-kayak-war with some other Woodward campers. We started bumping our kayaks into each other. At some point they tried putting their boat over mine right before I was about to crash into them. Bad idea! They ended up flipping over their entire boat before I had even touched them with my oar. It’s a good thing they wore life vests. They were pretty angry after that, but it was easy to avoid them because there were three people in the kayak and I was by myself.

  40. Camp was so much fun! It was all really fun. I had a really great time in the cabins because we raided the cabin next to us and took their people hostage. I also thought the classes were fun. My favorites were Lake Activities and Water Ecology. Lake Activities was really fun with the blob. In Water Ecology my group found a ton of animals. I met a bunch of people from Woodward North. I met a really nice guy from Woodward North named Ethan. I also had a great time at the social. We had a bunch of good drinks and food and danced a lot. Camp Tumbling Waters was also a nice break from a bunch of homework and studying. At camp I felt so relaxed because I didn’t always have to stay up working hard. I just played around. At camp I also had an opportunity to hangout with some people that weren’t in my class. Overall I probably liked the dance the most.

  41. Tumbling Waters was the best field trip I had in my life so far. It was so fun. I liked wildlife because I love touching snakes and reptiles. Lake activities were so fun but the water was freezing. In lake ecology, I partnered up with Tanvi and it was very interesting to look at those organisms swimming around in the tub of water. High Ropes was awesome. I climbed to the top of the tower. It was scary. At the top, some rocks were loose. So when you pushed on them, they rotated. The social was awesome! It was so fun just hanging out with my friends and dancing and singing to my favorite songs. I had a great time at camp and it would be so awesome to go there again.

  42. On my trip I particularly enjoyed the Water Ecology class, and the ability to eat with my friends (I am on a different team than them, sadly)! Now, back to the subject of Water Ecology. I enjoyed it for the fun and enjoyable pleasure of finding these water-dwellers (they were very well hidden). The, I got to examine them so I could find what species they were, Me and my group did not catch many organisms, though, so it was much better looking around at other's subjects. I also had the luxury of being around a channel 11 news crew that was filming Mrs. Fields(and, I might have been recorded too! Probably in the background.). That is my major reason for loving Tumbling Waters.

  43. I thought camp was awesome! I did so many many activities, but my favorite was water activities and water ecology. For one the water activities had blobing that was the best thing there. I was so lucky to have Ms.Vangrofsky and Mr.Moran in my group! I got blobed by Mr.Moran 3 times and I went 20 feet in the air. That camping trip was the best thing ever and I especially liked the social. The teachers hold a dance contest and the winner would get 25 dollars and guess who won......me!

  44. Camp Tumbling Waters was so much fun! My favorite part of the trip was the social. I liked the social because I got to dance with my friends and I saw Mr. Hickox, my homeroom teacher last year. I also got soda there. It was fun being with my friends out of school. I liked most of the classes except for wildlife and line dancing. I did not really like wildlife because I do not like snakes. I did not like line dancing because I do not like that type of dancing. My favorite class was nature-art because I liked going to see the waterfall. I really liked the trip to Camp Tumbling Waters!

  45. When I was at camp it was the best experience for me ever. Learning about lake ecology was the best. I never knew that baby salamanders grew underwater. I learned that most flying things that we see now are born underwater. Who knew that dragonflies grew up in the water? The next best thing was the blob. Mr.Hickox made you go 4 feet in the air! After that I went kayaking at first I was kind of scared that I might tip over and fall but it turned out to be a great experience for me. Last but not least was the social. It was so much fun. I participated in the dance competition. I didn’t win but it was still fun and it’s not whether you win you lose it’s how you dance. This was my experience at camp.

  46. My favorite parts of camp were learning about water ecology, hanging-out in my cabin, and doing water activities. To me, the most fun thing about water ecology was finding little creatures like a six- inch salamander! Though I didn’t catch many of the awesome critters that I saw, it was still cool to see them in their habitat. Speaking of cool, I also liked the guys in my cabin because we talked and stayed up till like 12:00! Then we did cabin wars which was literally like WW2. I also got to know my friends Foster, Sam, John, and Marshal better. Water activities were fun too! I especially liked the giant water trampoline. Most of the boys were running in circles trying to make the other people fall off. While I was there I did canoeing with my friend Cully. Over all, I think it was a really great field trip up in the mountains.

  47. My two favorite things about camp were the lake activities and rock climbing. I liked the climbing wall the most out of all the rock climbing events. I made it all the way to the top of the climbing wall. At the lake, I liked the blob the most. Two life guards launched me so high in the air. They both jumped on the blob at the same time and did a perfect launch. I almost did a flip into the water. I also liked the canoes and kayaks too. I had a lot of fun at camp! It was also cool when I got to hold a real snake. I really had fun with all of my friends in the cabin and at the social.

  48. Now that camp is over I am here to explain what my favorite part was. Well, my favorite part of the tumbling waters camp was the social. This is because a lot of people had an enjoyable time. We also just hung out with each other. It was really amusing because we dance and talked. I also met a lot of new people at the social and also became friend with some people. There was some really great music thanks to our wonderful DJ. We also did one of our line dances. That’s why the social was my favorite thing about tumbling waters during our trip.

  50. Camp Tumbling Waters was extremely fun! We went with the entire 6th grade, including Woodward North. The purpose for going on the trip to Camp Tumbling Waters was to learn more about water ecology in Science.
In my opinion all, of the activities were fun. However, my favorite activity was the Social. At the Social, I hung out with my friends and we sang and danced all night. We even did the line dances we learned. My friends and I all enjoyed ourselves a lot the night of the Social. I enjoyed the Social because it was a great time to dance, sing, and have fun with our friends.
Without a doubt, the lake activities had to be my second favorite activity. I especially liked the blob. When I got blobbed, I felt as if I was flying through the air. It was tons of fun, but when I landed in the water it was freezing. Then, I swam over to the water trampoline. My friends Tanvi, Hallie, and Alanna all jumped on the water trampoline. After that we did the blob again. When we were getting out of the water, there was a huge spider on the ledge that would not move no matter how much we splashed it. So, then we swam over to the other ledge and there were dead bugs all over it and there was a dragonfly that wouldn’t move there too. Finally, we swam back to the other ledge and just ignored the spider and climbed up. Then, Hallie and I went kayaking. We kayaked over to the High Ropes course and talked to our friend, Sophie. I thought the lake was really fun.
Later that day my friends, Elizabeth and Colette and I went to the pool party. After the pool party, we roasted marshmallows and made s’mores. Then, we changed clothes and went to the late night movie. I was very tired and worn out when I got back to my cabin. I was ready to just collapse on the bed.
Another activity I liked was the High Ropes course. First, I did the swing. I wasn’t that scared because I have had an experience with a swing before. That all changed when I got up there. I was a little scared because it was very high up. When I let go of the rope, my stomach dropped like I was on a rollercoaster. But after a few swings, I wasn’t scared anymore. I ended up really liking their swing. Later I did the Rock climbing wall I did it with Tanvi. I climbed the wall really fast, and I felt like my climbing time had improved. When I was up there, I watched Mrs. Mulkey do the swing. That was really funny.
Overall I think Camp Tumbling Waters was great, enjoyable, and fun trip. I would definitely go there again.

  51. I loved camp so much! I enjoyed getting away from homework. I loved seeing the waterfall in Nature art. I also liked the Lake activities. I enjoyed the blob, the trampoline, and the boats. I also enjoyed playing vollyball with people from main campus and north campus.
The swimming pool was extremely freezing!!!!!! When I jumped in the water I yelled so loud! I was so excited during ropes course. The swing was terror in the sky!!!!! I remember being pulled into the sky. When I let go of the rope I closed my eyes and yelled like there was no tomorrow! The best activity was the social. I danced so much that I felt like I was going to collapse. I entered the dance contest and almost made it. I was eliminated during the dance before the final round. When people started to slow dance I quickly found my girlfriend and danced with her. I'm pretty sure that we were slow dancing wrong. Any ways the best thing was being scared by Mr.Underwood and My dad Mr.Hickox. I had fun spending time with my friends. I hope I can go back one day when I'm older.

  52. The trip was a great expereance for me cause this helped me make new friends, have time away from my family, and it was just relaxing. The most fun part about the trip was rock climbing and I barly made it to the top cause it was so high. The second thing that was awsome about the trip was I had the best cabin and group leaders and they were Mr. Moran and Mrs. Vangrosky. The food was jewish so it was different but good and the good part they had the best stuffed brownies and this was the best trip ever.
